Dave Matthews at Tinley Park: Great performance, bad sound

The Band, as always, was phenomenal. The sound quality was the only problem. The amenities and physical environment of the theatre were all fine. This is the sixth venue I've seen Alison Krauss And Union Station in and it was the first time that the sound was awful. Maybe this is a new normal for them since I haven't seen them in a long time. We had pavilion seats and had to move back to the lawn because everything at the back of the pavilion sounded like a deafeningly loud undecipherable jumble. I don't know if this was a house issue or a band sound engineer issue. There was one moment when the sound cut to half volume and there was feedback for about ten seconds if that says anything.
